Making the World Team
Making the world team is accomplished by winning the USA Grappling World Team Trials. The trials is an person bracket for both Gi and NoGi. To secure one of the 8 spots one must either win a qualifier or be petitioned in. Petitions must be submitted within the allotted period. The petition period will be announced, opened, and closed on the USA Grappling website.
Only the champion at each prospective weight class will represent the United States at the UWW Grappling World Championships.
